Volunteering at Hospice of Broward County

Volunteer

"The best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others." -- Ghandi

The heart of hospice

Hospice volunteers are central to everything we do.  Generous with time, love and energy, volunteers touch the lives of others and make it possible for Hospice of Broward County to care for everyone who needs and wants our services

Many ways to make a difference

Our volunteers often say that they get much more from their service than they could ever give.  Diverse in their backgrounds, interests and talents, Hospice of Broward County volunteers are also unique in the ways they help.

Some volunteers work directly with patients and families. Some support our staff in our offices, resale shops and special events. Others offer their professional services to help our patients, families and staff. What unites everyone is the desire to give and the great satisfaction in making a difference in our community.

Volunteer training and support

When you volunteer with Hospice of Broward County, we work with you to find the right match for your talents. We provide an orientation and ongoing training to make sure that you are comfortable in your role. In addition, you have the full support of our Volunteer Coordinators to ensure that your volunteer experience is rewarding and enriching.

If you have a few hours per week and you would like to make a difference, please take a look at our Volunteer Opportunities or visit our Volunteering for Professionals and complete our online Volunteer Interest Form
